Remote jobs pay in dollars but interview in English — and that's where plenty of great developers freeze. These phrases structure your intro, your projects, and your questions. Practice them out loud before the call.

Key phrases

I've been working as a developer for five years.
The pattern for your experience: "I've been working as… for…"
My main stack is React and Node.
Short and direct — the interviewer will ask for details.
I worked on the back end of a payments system.
Describe projects with "I worked on…" plus the part you built.
We worked in two-week sprints.
Shows agile experience without reciting theory.
I'd approach it by breaking the problem down.
For technical questions — thinking out loud scores points.
Could you clarify the requirements?
Asking to clarify shows seniority, not weakness.
Do you have any questions about my experience?
A confident way to close your part of the interview.

Tip: Classic mistake: "I have experience of five years" — it's "I have five years of experience." And describe projects in the simple past: "I built," "I migrated," "I fixed" — short and strong.
